Then he edited it to ONLY show the car as it rounded the first cone and thru to the last cone, then it jumped to the next car. It was probably 2.5 minutes of just slaloming and you could so easily see who stayed tight, the differences in two driver cars, etc.

    It was sweet.

ya, we did that on a lotta videos (I was john's camera b!tch when he got tired of filming at events). I've probably got hours of "section" video like that (30+ VHS tapes of TAMSCC events - gotta transfer to DVD).

We did some section video at the Austin Police academy years ago (it was to be their last event there, ever), with fixed camera video of cars thru an "S" curve section. I won ESP by a LOT that day, which was uber rare at the time ($0 budget racing). On the section video, it was painfully obvious why: They said "4 wheels off is a DNF", and I asked at the driver's meeting if 3 wheels off was ok, "sure". So of course I was putting 2-3 wheels 4-5 feet into the grass on every corner (uber tight, malibu grand prix sized road course), and made that "S" section into a straight. Always managed to keep at least one tire on the pavement, barely. Everyone that night watching the video was like... "oh... Fair, you SUCK!" I never got flagged or DNF'd cause it was explicitly allowed, just very few people were doing it.

    I almost protested myself.... J/K!

Will do. I'll see if I can also bring the minibike since it may make shagging cones easier. In fact, we could all bring bikes to help out in that regard! Or take turns on the chopper.

                Hey guys,
                1. Everyone OK with BBQ? I need to order it shortly.

                2. Any wine drinkers out there or just beer?

                3. Our DL-1 should be here yay! So we'll have two there.

I'm cool with beer, though I know Mel & Amy like wine. They might be okay with beer too, though! I'd send them an email. Deena is cool with beer. I vote for Shiner Light.

You bet! But, I don't think any of us will be picky. I hope you let all of us pay for it.

Mainly beer for me. Shiner-ish stuff is good for me. Not much of a fan of the "cheapy stuff", but I'd be happy to bring some.

I was hoping McCall could furnish the mega cooler for the day and night activities? My drinks question was for the evening stuff and I'll have diet drinks, regular drinks, Shiner, and some wine. Anyone have a Sam's membership?

Where is your house? I don't know if Nick and I will head out to CS when we leave MW or grab some BBQ and then head out...

That being said, what time are we leaving the MW site?

I'd love to catch some Daytona action and look at the data.

What options are with your DL1? Are you giong to use just the GPS based stuff for this event or did you get some addtl sensors?
