The Vorshlag spherical camber plate for the EVO 5-9 models is back in stock and better than ever! We have had camber plates for these EVO models for years, but in 2010 we redesigned them for more positive caster. and these prototype “high caster” designs were perfected on several tester’s race and street cars. Now this version has made it to production form, with an engraved aluminum main plate and our trademark super strong, over-sized spherical bearing. New Product Announcement!

Vorshlag has built a batch of shortened, modified, and powder coated strut housings made to fit the BMW E30 4-lug chassis. These allow for the AST 4100 / 4150 strut inserts and coilover conversion parts to drop right in. Combined these make for a pain free coilover conversion to your E30 chassis BMW. No more cutting, hacking, and welding on your stock housings – let the fabrication pros at Vorshlag handle that for you.

The final product is a thing of beauty – these pictures don’t do them justice. The glossy black powder coating looks and protects so much better than the stock painted finish, and the slimmer top design (OEM perch is removed and smoothed) allows for more inboard camber travel. These shortened strut housings and AST coilover kits are in stock at Vorshlag and ready to ship.

All 2008+ Subaru Impreza owners that want more negative camber but need to keep the OEM spring and strut now have a better camber plate solution – Vorshlag’s Subaru GR Camber Plates with the custom OEM Spring Perch is now available!

We installed the first set here at Vorshlag, and performed detailed ride height and camber measurement before and after. The test car started with a maximum of -1.7° camber (using the stock eccentric at the strut mount) but ended up at a setting of -2.5° camber with our plates, with more negative camber travel available. There was also no change in ride height, which is what we were shooting for. Our 2011 STI tester did a track event right after the camber plate install and immediately noticed improved front grip and radically lowered front tire wear – and his lap times were quicker than ever before. After being out of stock for a few months, during a slight re-design, the Vorshlag camber-caster plates for the EVO X are back in stock! The revised design has the same high positive caster potential that racers asked for, but the main plate is now red anodized aluminum instead of steel, for a lighter assembly and more attractive look. The EVO X camber plates can work with 2.25″, 60mm or 2.5″ ID springs for your coilover front suspension to give you ample negative camber travel as well as more positive caster adjustment (with 3 distinct caster settings).
