    Re: Houston National Tour

The only downside to leaving at 7 is that it puts us in a lot more DFW traffic for leaving town than leaving at 6 (aka 6:30-6:50 with this group) does. Just something to think about.

We some people were out watering trees on their lot till after 8:00pm (didn't it rain last night?)

Anyways, I'll call you when I swing by Fry's this afternoon to pick up our radios.

As far as the BMW driver, MeL is going to be able to drive down with us so she can drive on of the vehicles now.

Like AR, I'll try to be all loaded up by the time I work so I'll be ready to roll at the end of run group 3.

              Ya'll be safe coming down!

Y'all have fun! Wish I was coming. Had a wild hare last night to sign up, but it was too complicated since I couldn't leave in the morning. I have a customer meeting tomorrow. Do the Aggies proud!

                                Re: Houston National Tour

Still can't get over how fast Amy picked up driving the M3. On Friday and Saturday runs she was off, couldn't see over the steering wheel! After a booster seat (towels) and a few more runs she got within .3 sec of me on Sunday, and I was but .05 sec off the top pace. Not bad, I think.

My 1st runs from both days were the fastest of the field but eclipsed by others, eventually. I never bested my 1st runs from either day. No cones, just couldn't put together a faster run (had section times that were faster, but I made mistakes that slowed times overall). I HATE that dog track surface - so squirrelly, so dirty, and significant elevation/camber changes. But everyone had to drive on it, I just couldn't do it well.

edit: had a great time seeing everyone - the TAMSCC peeps, the Spokes folks, and our crew represented. Weather was good, the dog track banquet was fun, and the racing was great. 15 in STU = the biggest class of the event. Gotta love that! Where was GP? FSP had 1. XP was nowhere. All of those railroaded classes were defunct. Hmm...

EDIT2: The STU class MAF protest went about as planned. Lame ruling, but the appeal to the National will be the one that sets the precedent.
