You'd have to drive it in slaloms/transitions on the 225's and 7" rims. The shocks cannot make up for a too-wide tire wallowing around on a narrow rim. The steering response was terrible, but the improvement just from going to the 195/50/15 fronts on Day 2 was very dramatic.

Having driven it on the shorter/narrower 195s and 205s as well as the 225s, I can say without a doubt that the narrower tires have much more transition speed than the big boys. I wish we could make the 225s work, trust me - I was the one that wanted to take this gamble.

bummer things didn't go as hoped guys. I'm really pulling for your STS E30. I've been in a non-civic in STS too many times.

I think it we could have gotten our RS down to 2300, it would have been able to run w/ those guys. best we could do was 2750 and I think the lighest any RS has ever been at nats was 2685 (Corey R.) Richard West is back in his RS this year and has it really dialed in... other than using the toyo's last I heard. *yuck*

Good luck this year guys. I hope you do well! Looks like a fun car to run.
