Is anyone else from the Houston area going?
Kami and I are starting to waffle on the whole bringing two cars up, and there is no point on running the Solstice on street tires

I need a truck and trailer

Edit: Can some haul my tires to Dallas and back?

Thanks to McCall for replacing my low dust, but low performing Axxis Deluxe front brake pads (I have Axxis Ultimates on back) with Hawk HPS last night. He also adjusted my front sway bar from full soft to the next stiffer setting and the car feels REALLY good, at least on the street. The driver side end link was a bit loose too, which would explain the jangly sounds I was hearing over slow speed bumps (now gone). Not sure how the F that happened, but it's fixed. Oh and it will be interesting to compare the dust levels between the HPS and the Ultimates. In summary, I'm ready for the test N tune.

I'm not really sure. Since I have E36 offset wheels, it might be kinda tight (mostly worried about the fronts). On a proper E46 wheel, I don't think it'd be a problem, but I have Tommy hand-me-downs. If you have something unmounted, I'd be willing to get it mounted on one of my race wheels for testing. I was kinda curious myself since I've been wanting to replace the OLD RT215s soon.

Thanks to Fitz we have a timer now. I did his camcorder/laptop setup on my setup.

I also tested the AX22 last night. I did a few laps in my neighborhood setting up sectors along the way. It was pretty cool watching the splits as I lap'd da hood. So, we'll set that up tomorrow morning. Everyone is welcome to stick it in their cars. All I ask is:

                        1. You let me install it
                        2. You have a passenger ride along and tell you the read out. You can NOT read it while driving.

It will tell you splits, lap times, lateral g's, long g's, speed and a few other parameters.

It will depend on how many show up. Probably $25 if I had to guess.

Re: MW Test and Tune May 26th

We're driving back from the event now. Had some rain today, which caused some of us to get there late but it dried up by 11 and we got some good dry practice time. I think it rained briefly 3 times today but dried completely between each quick sprinle or shower.

10 total entrants, 4 courses, timrs on the main course for half the day, AX22 and DL1 provided by Vorshlag, lots of seat time, skid pad/pyrometer tuning, and LOTS of car swapping!

Dean showed! Cody showed! SeanT was early! Paul had a Radar gun! We also had the McCalls, Madderash, and Amy/Me/Hanchey.

Notable info (AX22 real time readout data):
EVO on Bridgestones pulled 1.29g lateral!
Hancheys STi on rotted Yokes pulled 1.25g!
We'll post DL1 data from other cars soon

The new high speed offset section still favored the M3s, mine and Codys posted the highest in/out Radar speeds. The Stevos all have crazy corner exit traction and the Bridgestones have lotsa grip. Hanchey ran a 26.9 in Pauls STi (Bridgestones), 27.4 in his STi on Pauls Yokes (which were corded), and I got a 27.4 in the M3 (Amy had a 27.5 too). Tight grouping but Hanchey has lots of stuff left to do.... apparently so do I!

Thanks for coming out guys. Those of you who let the rain scare you off (again) should know that we had many hours of dry track time and pleasant temperatures all day!

Mucho data crunching and picture uploads soon.

Sorry I missed it! I got the Miata back on the road around 11pm last night and was ready to go. Seeing the forecast this morning, I decided not to subject my dad to 4 hours of travel in my miniature car.
