Also, the sport package comes with 18x8 F and 18x8.5 R.
$37,760 for Euro delivery and after the newness wears off, you can probably get a bit off of that. That doesn't include the $1000 MSRP sport package though. I think Vorshlag needs to buy one for test purposes.
Don't get any bright ideas, Hanchey!
(he's already planned his Euro Delivery route through Italy, Germany, and Holland, oiy! But luckily he's only dreaming)
I think the lack of LSD would be painful, as would the narrow wheels...
Still, I think its a fairly good fit, what with the G35 Coupe, CTS-V and E39 M5 going into this class also. So long pony cars, hello sports luxury sedans... but the price of entry is killer. $40-75K... I guess you could get a G35 6-spd for a bargain price of $35-38K or so.... do those have a limited slip?
Bench Racing Test: What's the basic specs of the current and new FStock contingent?
Wheel sizes, limited slip availability, base price, current used price, curb weight with the sport package, rated horsepower, tested wheel hp with FStock legal mods?
I'm too lazy to look up the other stuff Fair is asking for, but I have to also wonder about the new G35 sedan. Rated at 306hp, 268lb-ft torque, 6spd manual, limited slip standard on the sport model, 3538lbs., 18x7.5" F/18x8.5" R, 60mph in 5.2sec, 1/4mi in 13.9@103mph, 70-0mph braking in 160ft, 69.8in wide, $32,950 not including the 4 wheel active steering package for $1500 (steers the rear wheels up to 1 degree, plus varies steering ratio). Pretty decent praise out of The Car Connection's review.
"Even on the most wicked, off-camber turns, the G35S maintained its firm grip, with nary a tire squeak. Steering was entirely intuitive, with just the right level of feedback. Okay, it's not quite a BMW 335i, but it's amazingly close, far more so than the Lexus IS series."

Yep, but get that in the Coupe and lose some pounds... I think this could be the FStock overdog. More power than any FStock legal Mustang but vastly better suspension than any pony car. Throw in a lighter/more open exhaust, and it would sing.
I thought you could get more front wheel width in the G35 Coupe? 7.5" isn't gonna cut it. This (and lack of camber) is what kills the E36 M3 for BStock...
Looked it up on Edmunds and the Coupe with 6-spd manual is $31,313 but you automatically get 19" wheels with the 6-spod. Yuck!
OK, is this jacked up?
There are not many differences between the 2003 & 2004 G35 coupes. Both 03 & 04 6MT come standard with Brembo Brakes and the Performance Tire and Wheel Package. ... The Brembo Brakes were removed for the 05 & 06 models. Instead, Sport-Tuned Suspension Package was standard on all 6MT models.
So the later "1st gen" G35 (2001-2006) had 3.5L with either 280 or 298 hp (manual), but the "2nd gen" 2007 Sedan has 306 hp and the 2007 Coupe has 275 or 293 hp?! The Coupe gets the shaft. So find a 2004 with the 6-spd and Brembo brakes? Or go with a 2005 or 2006 with more hp? Oh, good thing I don't care.
'07 Infiniti G35 Coupe (new model coming sometime in 2007)
293hp (5hp down thanks to new SAE rating), 258lb-ft, limited slip, 71.5in wide, 18x8 all around or optional 19x8 F 19x8.5 R, 3524lbs, 3524lbs., $34,750 new, rear active steer pkg $750. I've driven the automatic against the 335i automatic and it was no comparison imo. Used as low as $19K, but that's only with 280hp (0-60 5.8sec). NEXT!
'00-'03 BMW M5
394hp/368lb-ft, 4024lbs., limited slip, 18x8 F/18x9.5 R, 70.9in wide, as low as $25K but most high $20s and up to $39K for an '03.
'07 Lexus IS350
306hp/277lb-ft, 3527lbs, AUTOMATIC, no limited-slip to my knowledge, 18x8 F/18x8.5 R, 70.9in wide, '06 had to use a hack to kill the stability control (every time the car was started!), '07 comes with defeatable stability without a hack. I've heard there are exhaust/sways that you can buy from Lexus. Doesn't handle as well as even the E90 sedan imo.
'07 BMW 335i Coupe
$41,295, 70.2in wide, 300hp/300lb-ft, 3571lbs, no Limited Slip, 18x8 F/18x8.5R.

8.0" in 18 inch wheels that are optional on the coupe. '07 G35 Coupe is the OLD generation. They won't release the new one until sometime in the year 2007 ('08 model?). I'm sure the coupe will get the improvements the sedan got, including the newer 3.5 V-6. They already showed the coupe "concept" at an auto show.

Ok shameless plug...
Just because I can't drive doesn't mean it's not a good car. Tuna hasn't auto-xed in 10 years and should have beaten me, almost did.
9th Place trophy in F-Stock 2003 (I don't want to talk about '04-'06, I think Colorado makes F-Stock drivers slow)
