Wow, the options can really add up! (+$10,350 if you loaded a Coupe) Luckily, they all look to be total fluff nonsense options, and no race-minded driver would ever order one of them (as they all worsen performance and add dead weight).

On the new RX8 enhancements...

If these upgrades don't sound substantial enough, there's also a new R3 sport package. It adds Bilstein shocks and a sport-tuned suspension complete with urethane foam-filled crossmembers up front. Since no one can see those nifty crossmembers, the R3 package also includes a rear spoiler, extended side sills, foglights and a more aggressive front bumper. A set of 19-inch forged aluminum alloy wheels with high-performance summer tires is also part of the package.

DOH! Nineteen wheels are for PIMPS ONLY! You can't get RACE TIRES for those. Bah, what a bonehead move by Mazda. Make a sportier suspension package and F it up with ghetto baller wheels.

Well, if it's in any of the following size 19s, they can get tires for track or autocross from Hoosier:

295/30-19
315/40-19
325/30-19
345/30-19

Yea, Hoosier has been the first R compound manufacturer to make 19" tires, but they aren't happy about it. Unfortunately none of those sizes readily fit an RX8. Most cars with 19" wheels don't have R compound tire coverage yet... and it was 3+ years after many cars with OEM 19" wheels came out before those sizes made by Hoosier, reluctantly.
