There was an E36 running in DSP last year with 18x9s and 265X35s with fender rolling. No issues. Was still slower than Teucci.

Paul, do you think you'll need to shift to third a lot more often with the shorter tire? Or do you think the reduced cg of the car will make up for it, in a matter of speaking?

I go from 62mph to 60mph at the rev limiter (7500rpm). My goal wasn't lowering the cg, although it will happen some tiny bit. I wanted a shorter sidewall and increased tread width. Hoping to improve max cornering grip and steering response. Hopefully gearing change won't be too hard of an impact on slower coarses, on faster courses where I would have to shift anyhow, it will help.

As it is now, I can feel the difference between my old race tires (25.6") and my street tires (25.0"). So the even shorter Yok (24.7") should feel like it pulls harder.

I weighed my Falken, it was 25 pounds. You'll have to bring them over and we can really weigh them plus we can compare REAL tread width. MFG data is a joke.

Yeah, BUT they are too tall IMO. I'm confident we could get them under there too, but I'm not buying $300 tires for a STREET TIRE class. I'll go run another class before then. Or buy an AWD car where I can't spend that on 245s.
