  • 2003 E46 M3 Lightweight FS

    http://www.corner-carvers.com/forums...ad.php?t=34592

It's not really a lightweight... but it's about as close to one as you can get. The car is in REALLY good shape, and if I had the $$ laying around, it would be at my house.

If you are interested... this could be an excellent STU car next year or just a great track car.

Nice car and wow, big price drop. Pretty good mileage/price, I think. How does an M3 manage to make 18 inch wheels look small?

It may be the sign of a depressed M3 market with the E9x M3 coming or the 335i kicking butt or the 135i coming out, but that price is lower than Edmunds lists for the "True-Market Value" even in only good condidtion lists $29K and in excellent condition (which I'd consider this to be if everything stated is true), at $31K.

What do you estimate that it weighs?

He had weighed it and posted on corner-carvers. I think with the TI exhaust and race seats, he got down to the high 3100s. I can't find that thread in a quick search over there, but I'm sure some digging or a PM to that guy would turn it up.

It's more likely a sign of his new Z4 M Coupe coming in next week and the dealer offering that as a trade-in. One way or the other, thats the price he will be getting

                  PM sent to the guy.

John - what's the story on this car? Track car? Toy? What's with the exhaust, seats, etc?

                  Thanks!

Lightly tracked... just some DEs. Not his daily driver (at least it wasn't).

The car is in really good shape. I took a look at it (via photos) a couple of months ago when he first started talking about getting rid of it. Its as light of an E46 as you can get. All maintenance is up to date and it has been well cared for. My only issue were: 1) it was black (for which I could make an exception) and 2) I'm just busted-ass broke right now after the kid / house / move. I'd have to move 2 cars to get this one... and then it would have to become my daily driver until I could get a beater up and on the road.
