    TAMU Formula SAE

Our congratulations this year go to Texas A&M University and driver Jordon Musser for completing the test in the quickest time, running more than 3 seconds quicker than our 2nd-place team, the University of Akron. The team winning overall in Formula SAE was Cornell University, always a strong team and a former R&T Trophy competitor. In an unfortunate oversight, Cornell's team forgot to check tire pressures and completed all of their runs in our event with overinflated tires, thus explaining their 4th-place finish. And, of course, the rain was a factor. The first four teams ran in the wet, except Cornell, competing last, which ran on an almost dry course. That should have given them a significant advantage, but as fate would have it, it didn't.
