    Howdy guys

The first divisional of 2008 is fast approaching!! Register at www.axwaresystems.com

As well, check out www.swsolo.com for all the latest info, talk a little smack and check out sponsor links!!

Tom Holt and crew have come up with a travelling trophy!

Announcing the Southwest Divisional Solo Series regional participation
trophy. Named the "Come and Take It!" trophy, it will be awarded to the
region that has the highest average points per entry after all four
divisional events. The winning region will get to keep the trophy for the
next year and gloat endlessly that their region is the best in the Southwest
    Division.

Each competitor will be awarded points based on their finishing position
    (9pts -1st, 6pts -2nd, 4pts - 3rd, 2, 1, 1, 1. The only exception being
uncontested class wins will receive 7 pts). The points for each region will
be averaged over all four events and after the final divisional in Fort
Worth, the winning region will claim the trophy. Each region must average 5
entries per event to be eligible. (So, 20 entries at one event will count)

The "Come and Take It" name comes from the Texas Revolution battle where
Mexico came to reclaim a cannon in the town of Gonzalez, to which the locals
said "Come and take it". After a fair amount of bloodshed the cannon stayed
put and became the source of pride for the Texans. but we figure the
Louisiana regions will have a lot of fun laughing at the Texans if they come
    and take it away!

We have built a race tire shod cannon for the trophy and we will have it at
every event this year to stir up interest and should have photos posted in
    the next few days.

Also, thanks to Brian and Terry for sponsoring this year's div series!!!!

      Re: Sowdiv #1

Thanks again to Todd for putting together another great Divisional series event, even though Baton Rouge is a bit farther than I thought it would be.

The weather was perfect, and the site the Central Louisiana folks use is awesome. Very clean and smooth asphault (why can't we have more places like that closer!) and their course designer put together two very fun to drive courses. Even with their smallest lot size, both days courses ran 45+ seconds and we hit third on both days. I think our local club needs to try one of these designs at Pennington.

      Results are up!
http://www.axwaresystems.com/axorm/f...v1_fin.htm#STU - - check out the sector times! Talk about GREAT data to have. We were bench racing Saturday night trying to figure out what the best run could have been if you would have combined your best three sector times. Very neat and I hope other clubs start to use this technology.
