That is a very pretty car.
What autox class, if any, would it be competitive in?
In stock class, it goes to DS. What else runs in DS? Is it a contender?
In SP, it goes to DSP but will be in BSP I'm guessing. No thanks.
In ST, it goes to STX but I think it's just to heavy for that class.
SeanT, how much does that thing weigh?McCall

3285lbs stock versus mine at just under 3200. It's in DS in stock (got moved out of BS after 1 year). I would think vs. a normal 330, it would have a better chance in DS. I don't know about now, but the 330 was THE car in DS a year or two ago. The ZHP has 10 more horsepower, stiffer springs, short shifter (not that that means much in AutoX), and more negative camber, so I don't see how it could be worse. If DS ends up getting combined with another class though...Originally posted by McCallThat is a very pretty car.

Re: '03 ZHP for sale (in Allen)
It's THE car for DS, but we don't see many because it's expensive to buy and "tire" relative to its performance. Also, one did quite well in STX last year -- fastest in the dry, I believe.
I've driven a couple non-ZHP 330's in DS, and I believe it's still the next best car.

More important than that, they have a suede steering wheel.Originally posted by bfitzIt's THE car for DS, but we don't see many because it's expensive to buy and "tire" relative to its performance. Also, one did quite well in STX last year -- fastest in the dry, I believe.

I'd love to have one to autox/daily drive.

Re: '03 ZHP for sale (in Allen)
The question is, why would he have so much trouble selling what should be a sweet car? Wrecked? Problems that don't show up in the pictures? Mechanical issues? It's still very tempting.Last edited by Redwood; 11-16-2006, 04:12 PM.-Sean Martin

Well, as far as I know, the only places he told me it was posted was bimmerforums and e46fanatics. Not great places to sell it.Originally posted by RedwoodThe question is, why would he have so much trouble selling what should be a sweet car? Wrecked? Problems that don't show up in the pictures? He must not be trying very hard to sell it then, but I can't blame him. I sold my M3 with 51K miles in less than 2 weeks on autotrader, to the first person to look at it.Originally posted by hancheybWell, as far as I know, the only places he told me it was posted was bimmerforums and e46fanatics. Oops, I found it in autotrader for 23.3k! WTF? He said he was upside down in it pretty bad. I think it is a hard sell b/c for the same price you can get an older E46 M3. I found a silver one for $23k. He said a dealer offered him $22k trade in, but another offered $16k. Whatever. It's worth 20k to me.Originally posted by RedwoodHe must not be trying very hard to sell it then, but I can't blame him.
