I don't know why they'd be worried. No limited slip and it weighs 3600lbs.

Hell ya! You guys and your LSD. First off, pony cars weigh 3600 pounds too. Second, I'd take a little heavier BMW over a live axle pony car any day. Who's buying one???

I heard you can't turn off DSC on the new Bimmers - is that true? How wide a rim? What is the justification for keeping the E36 M3 in BS and 330i ZHP in DS with the 335 goes all the way down to FS?!

Narrower car, more HP/TQ than most of the FS cars (LS1s excluded) and better all-around suspension geometry. The only downside is the wheel-size, but third gens don't seem to have a problem with that either.

As for the DSC... not sure on that. Haven't seen 'hard evidence' from anyone that I 'trust'

Classing... I'm guessing HP probably had something to do with it... but with the SCCA, who really knows.

          I'm not buying one... I'm broke-dick.

              According to this:
              http://www.bmwusa.com/vehicles/3/335icoupe/techdata.htm

17x8 wheels standard. Squeeze a 275/40 on that biatch Unless it's like the GTO where it'd take some ingenuity, or a non-stock offset wheel to get a 275 up front.

              Turbocharged V6...cool!

              MSRP $40,600...not cool!

If someone drops $40k for a F-stock car, more power to them

Absolutely not true. You can turn off DSC in all BMWs. Probably the 0-60 in 4.8/4.9 seconds vs. 5.5/5.6 that makes the difference.

My car ('01) weighed 3506 (3/4 tank of gas) at a SCCA tour, and dyno'd 330/340.

                      Turbo I-6

Also, the sport package comes with 18x8 F and 18x8.5 R.

$37,760 for Euro delivery and after the newness wears off, you can probably get a bit off of that. That doesn't include the $1000 MSRP sport package though. I think Vorshlag needs to buy one for test purposes.

With the weight of gasoline, 3/4 of a tank in the Camaro, I get 3517lbs on top of the curb weight. That's pretty close to what you have. Nice power. The 335i (probably with the 17s) is 3582lbs, then add gas. Most probalby wouldn't race with a tank so full though.

                          92 1LE/B4C = 3120lbs (IIRC) and 220rwhp/290rwtq

Of course, you can't buy them new and they aren't under warranty. <shrug>

                              Very true.. <sniff>

BUT for those 12 runs, you can get 600$ from Kumho!!! (at least I did...)

Also, there is a drex program from auburn now where you can get a new diff for 100$ if yours wears out. I talked to the auburn guys at sema and my current one is getting sent off soon.
