I cant wait until I can goto a F1 race.. I was trying to find decent priced tickets to this year's Canadian GP, but failed. I plan on going every year to the US GP

From the Spanish GP, we learned that you will need to spend a bit more to get actual seats but it's worth it. We did General Admission (about $250ish per person) for all three days (Fri P1 & P2, Sat P3 & Quali, and Sunday race). Of course you get to see all the practices/qualis/races for GP2, GP3, Formula BMW, and Porsche Supercup as well.

With GA we got to walk around and sit in different turns but you can do that with assigned grandstand seat tickets as well. On Fri all the grandstands are wide open so it was really great to walk the whole track and see different turns. On Sunday during the lead up to the race it gets packed and being able to have a comfortable seat along with having a good view of a TV screen is KEY. We ended up sitting for hours on end on a side of a hill with a side angle of a TV (and we scoped out seats EARLY!). Not comfortable what so ever. Also it was not the best vantage point and honesty it was hard to keep track of the race unless you really followed the cars and their progression for of of the 2-3 seconds you see the cars as they go by. We made due but lessons learned. The atmosphere was great though and all the fans were having a good time so that helped.

For future races I'd pick a good turn away from the main straight/pits to watch and then choose a grandstand that gives you a decent view of the track AND a big TV (covered doesn't matter). Expect to pay around $400-$500 for all three days probably.

That is basically the same experience the Fairs and us got with the Bridgestone hook-up at the Spanish GP. The only real difference was ....

that someone wasn't trying to put VOMOCO stickers on everything/one?

Going to a F1 race is a MUST for all car enthusiasts. Our goal is to hit at least one a year (plus the upcoming USGP).

I cant wait until I can goto a F1 race.. I was trying to find decent priced tickets to this year's Canadian GP, but failed. I plan on going every year to the US GP

That is basically the same experience the Fairs and us got with the Bridgestone hook-up at the Spanish GP. The only real difference was that is wasn't nearly as busy during our "tour" inside the McLaren garage (we were the only group), our host was British (no goofy accent or sunglasses) and we spent more time talking about technical regs and other team dynamics since he realized quickly that we already knew the car specs pretty well. Also, coffee in the Bridgstone hospitality trailer rocked as well. Did I mention how much Amy rocks??
