  • Nationals Impound Procedures

Everyone running this year needs to read this:

    From: http://www.scca.org/Event/Event.asp

    Impound Procedures
    as of 8-1-06

To afford competitors a better opportunity to visually inspect each other’s cars per 6.10, the SEB has requested that all Stock, Street Touring, and Street Modified category competitors be prepared to remove both front and rear wheels from one side of their vehicle after the completion of class runs, though only specific classes each day will be designated by the SEB to present their cars in this manner. Impound workers will notify those classes affected at the conclusion of their heat. Vehicles should be supported with stands or other safe means, not be solely supported by a jack. Before removing both tires, competitors should verify the stability of their vehicle on the jack stands. Competitors are reminded that they may not position themselves over or under another competitor’s car or touch any part of it.

    Re: Nationals Impound Procedures

They did that in SM each year I ran. PITA since now you have to carry a jack and jackstands to grid and then to impound.

We'd see some dumbass jack up his car without putting jackstands under it... then watch all the sheep crawl under it.... with nary a SSS to say WTF! Glad to see they at least clarified that part.
