  • Mounting a tote box to a HF Tire Trailer

So I purchased 2 "tool boxes" for my HF Tire Trailer. How did you guys mount your big tote boxes?

Since I have 2 smaller ones, made of hard plastic, I'm thinking I'll get 2 large rectangles of steel? and use them to sandwich the bottom of the tool box with the wood for the HF trailer and then another layer of steel, so basically, the tool box will never fly off or the plastic cracks or the wood cracks and the bolts pull through.

Does this make sense and is this the way to go ?

If so, where do I get these "steel plates" or so, so I can make this sandwich mount ?

I just used oversized flat washers on both ends.

If you still want steel, Home Depot/Lowe's both sell strips of flat bar in various widths and thicknesses. It's pricey tho...
