Vorshlag Motorsports weighs cars continuously as part of our research and development, chassis set-up work, and race car fabrication. Our corner weight scales get used in-house, at racing events, and at remote locales (such as new car dealerships). When a customer allows it, or when we take data for our own uses, car corner weights will be shared on this page. We take this data with an eye towards racing, and like to calculate out the weight of extra fuel (most of us race with as little as 1-2 gallons) and remove any extraneous fluff whenever possible (like the spare tire, jack, etc) to get to an ideal "race weight". Due to easily bruised egos, we won't include weights taken with drivers, but will often includes cross and front/rear percentages with driver, as this is even more indicative of a racing set-up.
We only post data we have taken personally, that way we know its correct. As we've seen, manufacturer data is often flawed - so why would we trust any random internet posting of data? Why should you trust our data - who knows? Use at your own risk.

This is a brand new car "someone" bought and brought by for a weight. We have weighed numerous 2005 model STis but no 2007 models. This car will receive some mild prep in the future which could reduce the weight by 100-150 pounds.
We weighed it at 3286 pounds with 10 gallons of fuel (5/8 tank, 15.9 gallons total). With the same 10 gallons but the spare and jack removed, it came in at 3248 (test weights shown below). Take out the fuel weight (62 pounds) and it weighs 3186 pounds at "race weight". Did you notice the 38 pounds of junk removed? That's just your spare tire and jack, which are easily removed at track events. And that 10 gallons of fuel is another 62 pounds of anchor, far more than you need for an autocross event. It all adds up!

This is Standard EVO IX (GSR) with the SE (Special Edition) package. It has the aluminum roof and hood of the MR model but the lighter 5-speed transaxle. Seems to be the best EVO model to buy, and you can see more at our EVO weights tech article. This car will receive prep for STU class in the future which could reduce the weight by 100-150 pounds or more.
Mitsubishi lists the GSR-SE at 3263 pounds, and we weighed it at 3191 with 10 gallons of fuel and without the spare/jack/trunk mat. Take out the fuel weight from that (62 pounds of fuel) and it weighs 3129 pounds at "Race Weight", before any prep is done.

This is a brand new car a friend bought and brought by for a weight, since there was zero data on the web at the time about these cars. This car will be campaigned in A Stock class Solo2 racing soon. Expect it could lose another 30 pounds in wheels (the factory 18x8s are rumored to be 24 pounds each!) and another 30 in a lightweight exhaust (it looks very heavy).
We weighed it at 2957 pounds with 8.5 gallons of fuel (5/8 tank, 13.5 gallons; test weights shown below). Take out the fuel weight (52 pounds) and it weighs 2905 pounds "race weight".
