  • LS1 Engine: Started and ran 8-6-06!

    The LS1 is running!

According to Teucci it "fired right up" once the fuel pump and lines were plumbed. Some additional 'HP Tuning' software work and it should be running like a top. Compression test tonight to verify that the motor is sound (it has a 90 day warranty).

He still has plenty of drivetrain work left, including:
    • Driveshaft (custom)
    • Steering shaft tweaks
    • Brake booster tweak (or not?)
    • Routing of a few brake lines (my bad!)
    • More wiring (or not?)
    • 325 diff (Teucci purchased a 3.91 LSD unit a few weeks back) and M3 axles

This work is needed to get the car driving. Teucci is testing a full AST suspension set-up, as well.

How many years until the kit is available? Should I be looking for a body now?

So has the alpha or beta car moved under its own power yet?

I'm hoping we can have an answer to that in the coming weeks or months.
