  • Vorshlag plates (used)

I got some used Vorshlag plates along with some used ASTs, and the packaging looks like it got some bits in the crevices around the bearing. I'll grab some pics later, but how concerned should I be? Any tips for cleaning that out successfully, or specific worry to not scratch up anything when i try to clean it up?

Bits in the crevice between the bearing and the bearing holder? You could use compressed air to clean it up... the Teflon liner on the bearing shell should act as a 'wiper' so if you rotate the bearing, you should be able to get all of it out.

I get rocks and crap in there all the time (and diet coke, beer, ketchup...) and always just wipe it out and/or blow it out with air.
