  • October Fastrack posted!

October Fastrack is posted on the SCCA website also:
    http://www.scca.com/contentpage.aspx?content=78

    Interesting stuff:
    - E46 M3 now legal for STU
    - RX8 now legal for STX
    - 9" wheels and 265 tires legal for STX for RWD/FWD cars
    - 285 tires allowed for STU for non-AWD cars
    - single turbo restriction removed for STX/STU (135i and other TT cars now legal for STU now)
    - ITR moved to BS
    - lots of cars moved to GS
    - Exige S/Elise SC/new Viper/996 Turbo legal for SS
    - ST camber kits now legal in SP, as are aftermarket brake rotors with aluminum hats.
    - Aftermarket radiators now allowed in SP
    - aftermarket mirrors allowed in SM
    - cars with 275s or less can have a 200lb less min weight. (EF K20 car now would have to weigh 1600lbs in SM)
    - limited club racing HP and GP cars now allowed in GP (would be fun to build a CRX/Civic for this class)

(initially posted this in the news thread, before I saw this forum)

Should make '09 more interesting for BMWs Time to get serious on the 328is STX build.

Wow, nice changes! I can't wait to see how this turns out a year from now. Acura Integra Type R from DS to BS....That will liven things up in DS. The Type R is way too dominant for such an old car. The only thing bigger would have been to move the RX-8 from BS to AS, but maybe that's just me. Hopefully some of those 135s in DS will try out STU since they didn't do so well there. Now if only I could afford to a) get new 9" wheels for the 328 b) get new race tires.

added more stuff that I spotted should be an interesting season. GP should be interesting if people start building up CRXs/Civics

M Coupe and E46 M3 now in BSP too. That's gooood. S54 M Coupe might be able to keep up with Evo? Dunno, but it would look good.

They removed the seat weight limit in sp!!!

              11# seats here I come!
*off to re-read rules to see what is allowed as weight reduction*

Just a word, apparentely their is not a defined spot as to this all being legit. Some things skipped the SEB and shoved through to the board for approval. So take it with a grain of salt till this is all confirmed again.

              *edit*
When is AST coming out with Festiva suspension? SM has a 200# weight brake if you run under a 275 tire.
              Yes, I am still insane.....
