  • 2003 Bmw E46 M3

All this talk about BMWs finally got Hanchey Sr. out of his "hi I'm 60" G35 Coupe and into an M3! He's been smiles ever since. He currently autocrosses a stock '06 Miata. We think that will change before you know it.

    Plans for this car:
    • Test Vorshlag products
    • See if the E46 M3 can be a contender in STU
    • Use it for BMW events
Last night we started the transformation. It received:
    • Vorshlag camber plates
    • AST 4100 shocks
    • AST 350/450 springs f/r. Hey, he's 60+ he didn't want the 750s.
    • H&R sway bars, thanks BimmerHaus!
    • Test fit 18x10 D-Force wheels
    Future items:
    • Studs and spacers, gawd I hate wheel bolts!!
    • Vorshlag motor mounts
    • RTAB bushings
    • 18x10s street and track
    • Exhaust
    • Brakes, SS lines, pads
This is now the sexiest BMW EVAR. We're ordering some 265s up for it Monday to fit on the LTW5s. The kit works so well. Do not drive this car if you enjoy saving money. You'll sell your first born it is THAT good.

    Pictures to follow.

Lil' John better watch out. His vroom vroom noises might get replaced by the real vroom vroom of an E46 M3.

Of course! We're going to run it in "STU trim" and see how off it is to the other cars.

Here's Jeff's E46 M3... The 18x10s are TOO DAMN EASY to fit onto these cars with 265s, 285s, whatever. Last week Brian and Jeff spent a sweaty night installing a full AST 4100 suspension, H&R swaybars, Vorshlag camber plates and a set of anthracite 18x10s and 265 Bridgestone RE01Rs are being mounted this week for the Vorshlag test-n-tune event this weekend.

It will be campaigning next season in STU class on this wheel/tire, regionally.

                  Cheers,
                  Terry Fair - www.vorshlag.com

I had the pleasure of driving it all last week. I swapped the front springs for some 500 lb/in Hypercoils from 400 lb/in spring previously. Ride is a little more firm, but not much. I give this car the best "all around" car on the planet award. It is so nice. I want one bad.
