Roger Johnson is my HERO!!! Slaloms galore and only one U-turn!!!!

Even Karens course has some good slaloms and transitions, but there are some nasty U-turns that the AWD buggies will like

OK, on paper at least, this still looks pretty dang good for the "narrow + non turbo" STU cars. :)

Any bets that cone 531 will be the most popular?

Good luck to all those making the trip.

Phil made similar flags+names for McCall, Fitzpatrick, Magyar, Weiss, and Hanchey

Made a T-handle for the seat bracket Teucci built and mounted it to the Evo

http://www.vorshlag.smugmug.com/photos/200228219-S.jpg
Then put the seat into the M3. Perfect fit.

63.5 pounds down to 31.4 = 32.1 pound drop. The other seat (John's fixed mounted Cobra) should be closer to the class minimum 25 pounds.

Cone 531 is after the lights so hopefully it is safe. On Babb's West Course (we walked them both a lot yesterday late afternoon) it seems like the most-killed-cone will be 405!!

Costas,

Can you verify if Koni is there and if they are rebuilding shocks / struts? I've got an assload of GC stuff that needs to be worked over before I sell it ;)

THX!

Koni is indeed here, but I have not been by their trailer today (I'm 'working' in the hotel room)..

Nick is onsite and they have wifi, let me ping him and see if he can find out.

Nick reports the Koni Trailer was open for business and staffed. Not sure if he saw shocks actually getting rebuilt, but I can't figure out why they would be there with an enclosed trailer and NOT be doing that...

Did that wing stabilize the trailer? :-D I thought it was photoshopped at first! The car looks tough!

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP NICK GET HIS VISTA LAPTOP UP AND RUNNING ON WIRELESS (at the hotel)! He connects to his hotel router but does not get an IP. It shows an internal IP of 169.xxx Please help poor Nick! :-)

Good luck, all!

169.254, etc is the default (OS can't find an IP) Windows IP address range...

Hotel may be out of IP's.... most rooms have a direct rj-45 connection.... can't assume every laptop has wireless or a wireless card....

Or the wireless switch on the laptop is turned off....

Or heaven forbid the Vista drivers for the wireless card/built in don't work...

Or if they are out of IP's, find out what the IP range is and statically assign one with the same subnet mask and gateway and just jack with the unlucky soul who may or may not be using the same ip address and surf away....

Yeah... Mike is putting a 2+ second whoopin on DSP. Pretty ugly ;)

FWIW, Turbo Toddie is currently in 1st by .1 seconds. Stroh is pulling up 3rd.

Thanks Duck :-)

We found out that it's something in the hotel room itself blocking the signal. It works downstairs in the lobby area, so that's where I am :-\

Kooky Days Inn and their kooky intarweb.

Had a good day today, Toddles is leading, Stroh is in 3rd, and the track food isn't half bad ;-)

I'm sure Costas will have his report up soon with pix!

Thursday West Course Results (http://www.scca.org/documents/resultfiles/5632_Thurs%20West%205.pdf) Through Heat 5
:( Based on first look, it looks like on average, the Bridgestone people are trailing the Yok people. Mike in 3rd in an M3 being an exception. :( Paul is in 7th on Yoks and hte highest placing Vorshlag person at the moment. Mel is in 3rd in STU-L and Amy is in 4th. West course is the AWD buggie friendly course. Tomorrow should favor the BMWs. Cross your fingers!

I've de-modded the M3 to an extent as well. Harnesses and race seats are out, harness bar is removed, and the stock (wingless) trunk is back on for good. No more STU for me in a non-turbo car. XP, here I come. :)

Amy races the M3 tomorrow at the BMWCCA event and might run it for a few more SCCA events the rest of this season, but we're looking at another class for her next year as well. More on another thread...

So far the plan for Hancheyand me is to run the V8 E36 in XP. For Amy... we don't know yet, but its not going to be the M3 in STU.

So we'll put in some cushy springs and some AST singles and make the M3 a better street car again, for sure.

Yep. I was faster on Thurs and you were faster on Friday. We are arguing semantics at this point anyway. Even if my coned run on Friday would have been clean it still would have put me in 14th and out of the trophies anyways.

I need to look into the results, but I'm wondering if another 325 (or 328) for STX may be where I return to Solo II. At least the Bimmers seemed more competitive there.

Yea, the picture I posted above is with Costas' custom GoPro camera mount (nice! making my own this week!) Where'd you get the suction cups?

John - you still want a GoPro? We've got 2 left in stock.

FYI, Vista operating systems migh need to update drivers for GoPro .AVI files (if the sound not working). Had someone return one and it ended up just being the drivers. Might have an "open box" discounted camera soon. :p

Wanted: Dec '07 issues of SPORTS CAR magazine

Our own STU-L Killer Amy Fair got a nice little write-up in the '07 Nationals results section (+ picture of car and her) but her name is also on the back cover, listed along side Kimi Raikkonen & Sebastien Bourdias in the Bridgestone ad!!!!

So, if you have an extra copy of this issue we would like to get another copy or three for posterity sake. ;) This way she can send one copy to her dad, frame a copy of the article/cover, etc.

Thanks!
