  • April 2007 Updates

    Greetings Customers,<o></o>
First off we would like to thank you for your interest in Vorshlag Motorsports. Not too long ago we sent out an introduction email announcing our purchase of Motor Force Engineering, and 14 months later here we are! We celebrated our one year anniversary back in February. Since most startups fail in the first year, we’re happy with our progress.<o></o><o></o>

Look for more of these updates this year, coming out quarterly. For interim updates, we’ll use our blog, website, and public forum to show our progress on various projects.<o></o>
    <o></o>
    AST Suspension<o></o>
AST is here! We received our first shipment and have them on several lead customer cars. Customers are speaking of the quality of the suspension kit, the ride quality and of course the performance. Our favorite quote so far, “Holy &%$!, my car is way fast now". We’ll be campaigning AST on several cars this year. Come check them out if you see us at an event. These struts and shocks are hand built, monotube, nitrogen charged, floating piston designed dampers. Our goal is to provide the performance of shocks 2 and 3 times their price, not create another entry level kit.<o></o><o></o>

AST will be here in May to provide us with training on rebuilding and revalving. Why does this matter to you? Typical rebuilds take 8-12 weeks. We’ll be able to turn them around in weeks if not faster. Custom shocks? No problem, we’ll be able to provide this service. We will be testing double adjustable E36 prototypes in the coming months as well.<o></o><o></o>

    New Products!<o></o>
We are currently working on several new products. We’ll just give you a snap shot of things to come:<o></o>
    • 75 and 90 mm wheel studs with “lead-in” (availability is a few weeks out)<o></o>
    • Now supporting Bilstein Sports with our camber plates (available now for E30/E36)<o></o>
    • Now supporting Bilstein PSS9s with our camber plates (available now for E36/E46)<o></o>
    • S50 E30 swap motor mounts (ready in 6 weeks)<o></o>
    • E30 6 cylinder motor mounts, nylon and poly (available now)<o></o>
    • E36 poly motor mounts (available now)<o></o>
    • E30 S14 motor mounts (testing in a few weeks)<o></o>
    • LS1 swap kit (beta car in header fab, kit this summer)<o></o>
    • Updates to E36 and E46 camber plates (E36 is now available, E46 is 6-8 weeks)<o></o>
    • Various D-Force wheel sizes, 18x9 and 18x10 arriving soon (6-8 weeks)<o></o>
    • Goodridge SS brake line kits (available now)<o></o>

    <o></o>
Stay tuned guys, we’re just getting started! Thanks again for your support.<o></o>

Lots more to come, as I get time to update various pages. AST page for FAQ badly needed!

      Re: April 2007 Updates

      http://www.vorshlag.com/cart/product...products_id=28 = the new hotness....

Check out the new pictures of the fully CNC'd E36 camber plates. These have replaced the previous design and have already begun shipping. Functionally the same but now you get hash marks for alignment settings, the Vorshlag "VM" logo, and markings to show orientation for installation. The surface finish is improved due to the machining process.

And some new pictures on AST struts:

We've raised the prices $40 (first price increase on the plates... ever) to cover the additional costs for the new CNC machining and engraving processes.

I really don't think these plates compare with anyone. Since they're so much better! With coil-over perches the plates are now $399 ($339 + $60). With stock style perches they are $439 ($339 + $100). The Bilstein Sports with stock style springs require several additional spring perch parts, so those are $125/pair.

Still pretty affordable... GC is $399 retail, TCK is $550, etc. Well, there are cheaper alternatives from KMac ($370) and Ireland ($275), but their plates are both ____. (rhymes with "thunk")

I still think they are worth more... but the market is what it is
