Ah, Bessie. That's what the former owner called this beauty. 270k miles on the clock. She's a good 'ol girl. The A/C still works. We got started quickly on it, but this whole "trying to run a business" thing got in the way. Then we started building Scooter's car. Luckily, Bessie gets the motor yanked as soon as Scooter's car goes to headers.

    What is it?

We want to further test our LS1 kit buy building a SCCA classed X Prepared car with the kit parts. Now, on top of that we don't have a bunch of money to spare so we'll need to do it on the cheap. X Prepared has interesting rules. The weight is displacement based. We'll start with a junk yard 5.7L LS1 motor and try to match the 2390 pound weight limit. If we get there, we might go for 5.1L and 2270 pounds. TBD at this point.

Found the key, fixed the steering lock, and now "Bessie" drives once again. Cleaned the heck out of this thing - it got dirty sitting in the shop for the past year.

("318is" emblems came with the trunk, from the Alpha car. The "325is" trunk had the APR wing, spent some time on the M3, then went to the Alpha...)

Well, since this white 325is became an "extra" after we got the Alpha car back, it was sold (without ever even posting it for sale) to an LS1 kit buyer in Oklahoma. He is going to build a track car, and this rust free, gutted, and straight 325 driver will get him going.

Should be picked up next Friday and then we can move the M3 in from the cold and rain.
