  • Impound Procedures for ST* cars

    2006 SCCA Solo Nationals
    Impound Procedures
    as of 8-1-06

To afford competitors a better opportunity to visually inspect each other’s cars per 6.10, the SEB has requested that all Stock, Street Touring, and Street Modified category competitors be prepared to remove both front and rear wheels from one side of their vehicle after the completion of class runs, though only specific classes each day will be designated by the SEB to present their cars in this manner. Impound workers will notify those classes affected at the conclusion of their heat. Vehicles should be supported with stands or other safe means, not be solely supported by a jack. Before removing both tires, competitors should verify the stability of their vehicle on the jack stands. Competitors are reminded that they may not position themselves over or under another competitor’s car or touch any part of it.
    ------------------
This means bring your jack and at least two jackstands to grid along with tools to remove wheels.

Read the Supplemental Rules: don't forget plywood to put under your jackstands

It's not so much the heat as it is the humidity

Somebody remind me to make several of these. I have plywood and saws, just poor memory retention.

I know, we might as well not show up since Rankins and Sipe are the only ones competing.
