So do they offer ALL of the Solo II classes or just some ?

    http://ams.scca.com/netforum/eweb/dy...58dbf&class=XP

I went to the above link, but not all the classes are listed.

Also, please explain what XP is ??

They only list the classes in which people have registered.

XP is a new prepared class... pretty much what SM should have been. Think E36 with an LS7 motor

So are you going to run a SCCA event Dean? I mean you can't go wong with 12 runs!

Can I enter an easy class and get some money if no one else enters ?

        I qualify for:
        ASP
        SM2
        XP

I qualify for SS, but I don't have 18" r-compounds, plus I'd get pummelled anyway...

I can bracket race pretty well !

They bump at Pro-Solos... just for that reason.

hehe, I guess I'd shoot for ASP since your wheels sizes are wrong for SS. Of course that means you will be going up against the new ZO6

BTW, you don't make it to the bracket rounds unless you win your class (or are within like a few tenths of the winner)

                Is XP formally recognized ??

If a bunch of Camaro's with 396's and 427's and turbos are entering XP, mebbe I got a chance ?

Each class needs 5 entrants, is that right, to not get bumped ?

It will be if enough people sign up. Better beat the bushes!

                    XP is a National Class.

But is it recognized or being reviewed like STU?

I looked at the rules. Sort of interesting. I guess you're thought of SM is that it should have been "run whatcha brung"? XP looks really wide open. I didn't see anything you couldn't touch. Like Prepared classes, but allows Modified type engine swaps?

No, it is not a provisional class like STU, it is a full national class. This was explained to me by Andy Hollis as I did ask about it.

The not so mysterious workings of the SCCA. I wonder who railroaded that! I'm sure they are currenly running the class in some POS Fiat or something.

According to the Updated 2006 rules, there is no more minimum of 5 entries in a class, but 5 are required for entry into the Super Challenge.
