I was planning on making this event, but my power steering hoses seem to be thinking otherwise. Huge puddle underneath the car this morning makes me not want to push it this weekend. New hoses are on the way from BMA as of yesterday, but I doubt they'll be here for me to install on Saturday. Anyone wanna give me a co-drive? I'll pay entry fee and help swap tires, plus I prolly won't shotgun ya

BMW uses a POS crimp clamp on one of the PS hoses. Do yourself a favor and put a real clamp on it... or you'll be having another leak really soon.

I don't understand all the issues with this. I noticed on my car there is a clamp half way down the hose. The one I ordered has the same clamp. So, which ones are we talking about?

I'll have to go back and look. I'm pretty sure its the outbound hose that has the crimp clamp.... and they aren't tight enough... so they leak.

So you put a worm drive clamp on the outside of it or something? I'm not too sure what the issues around these are either, but I'd like to get it fixed...

PS - thanks Paul very much for the offer. I'm gonna drive Hanchey's M3 on Sunday just to get a taste of what STU might be like in my car and also to not be quite so far down on the learning curve for driving a different car. Thanks Paul and Hanchey!
