So Paul, before I get too scared, you said that Blue STi was under prepared...just how prepared was it?!?! Ouch, that hurt this weekend.

    Re: ER Event

    Brian,

I think Henry was wrong on that. Andrew told me he already had his engine mods and tuning done, so he was already at the same horsepower level as myself. I am pretty sure he has front and rear cobb sway bars and I know he had custom Koni's made (based on the factory strut). I don't know if they were on the car or not, I forgot to look. He is not going STU though, his car is setup (or will be) for BSP. Also, the factory tires are pretty damn good with very stiff sidewalls, stiffer than our 615's.

As a comparision, my car had a bad mid-corner push that I was not able to correct (lack of experience on my part).

The older club members who know Andrew well, all say he is freakishly fast, even in cars that he shouldn't be in. Take that for whatever it is worth. Gerry Terranova thinks he is a national level driver regardless.

I watched his runs on course, his car had a mid corner push too. How did Sunday go?

          Re: ER Event

Sunday was awesome. Challenging and fun course. The ProSolo courses on Saturday were good, but I wish they had been true mirror images. Would have been a better left to right comparison

I got pwn3d by Madarash on Sunday (as usual).

OK, I think there are mistakes here. I thought Kerry ran faster than Andrew on the left side but it doesn't show. Kerry thought so too as we discussed it.

Good job Cody, beat Sipe on right side! Brian ran a fast one on the right also!

I think the times show pretty much without a doubt Tim is a better driver than me. =/

Looking at Andrew and Kerry's times (same car), I think it shows Andrew is just a good driver.

                      Re: ER Event

Thanks. Those results, coupled with Sunday's, scream at me that I have got to work on driving my car out of increasing radius corners. If I can load the front end the car is beautiful, but the minute I try to combine throttle and steering inputs the whole thing goes to h3ll in a hurry. Either way, it was nice to be competitive for once.

                        Re: ER Event

That blue subie looked like a total plow buggy, but it was still quick. Comparing times after we made some big changes, it was a lot closer than we thought.

Without posted times it was very hard to tell how we did during the runs. Frustrating - we lost to Gabby, who we almost never lose to. Oh well, we have a lot more work to do! Hanchey is a busy boy this week at SEMA... we'll have a busy winter.

EDIT: Noticed we had 12 cars in STU? I had no idea (since half ran in opposing run groups). Wow, biggest real class of the event, by far (I don't count their local catch-all classes like "tire" or "noob").

Yeah, I think we'd be more competitive after we made all the big changes. Too bad that was on our PAX runs. Car still isn't right. Maybe that wing I found at SEMA will help.
