Event help needed

[Oversteer]

Guys,

I feel REALLY bad for not racing locally enough (hey, I've been twice okay) to answer my friend's question as well as I should.

I know about Equipe Rapide (in Mineral Wells), BMW in (Weatherford?) and Porsche Club (?) but I don't know any of the particulars of each as far as costs, location, and preferences. And the TAMSCC events are always an option as well.

Any info, opinions and such y'all would give me to pass along would be appreciated.

"So, Bryan [her boyfriend, not me] has been thinking about finding somewhere to race for fun. He bought an RX-8 a few months ago, and he's almost to the 5,000 mile mark, so it will be safe to race. So I said, "Hey! I know this guy named Bryan who is/was into that. Maybe he can give us an idea." But I didn't tell him that your new car could kick his new car's ass....

Does SCCA exist in Dallas? How does Bryan (not you) go about finding somewhere to play with his car?
