  • Saw this on The Drivers Edge Listserv... E46 and other stuff

Apparently my attachments didn't make it through to the posting. Since the
pix didn't come through, I'll email to you on request. The description of
    what's available:

BEAUTIFUL BBS CH BRIGHT SILVER WHEELS

a.. 4 BBS CH 17"x9" wheels bright silver paint
    b.. 120mm 5 bolt pattern fits BMW 3 series
c.. New price on tire rack $423/ea
d.. Mounted with Yokohama A032R 235/40/17, but they are probably useless
e.. 20 lug bolts that came with the wheels
f.. Used for 3 DE events at TWS and MSR and drive to and from Houston
(approximately 1300 miles total on the wheels)
g.. Wheels have no curb rash. All have small imperfections in the paint
from the factory and from road debris, but they look incredible when cleaned
    and polished.
h.. I bought equal size so that I would be able to rotate them more
efficiently. Also, in non-M3 BMWs, equal wheel sizes helps compensate for
    car's understeer.
i.. Wheel 1 has 2 scratches. 1st approximately 2 inches long near hub,
2nd about half inch, also near hub
j.. Wheel 2 has 1 small scratch about 1/8th inch near rim
k.. Wheel 3 has 2 small scratches about ? inch and 1/8th inch near rim, 2
    small chips on spokes
l.. Wheel 4 no obvious scratches
(will ship at buyers expense, but prefer to have buyer pick up in Houston)

    Other Items Available

a.. Schroth snap in harness (black with gray logos) for E46 non-M3. Have
all original pieces for installation. (2 inch straps) Used three times.
b.. 2 Blue Schroth shoulder harness pads. Used three times.
    c.. 4 - 2 ton jack stands
d.. 1 unopened container of Dot 4 Ate Super Blue high temp brake fluid
e.. 2 Ferodo DS2500 front E46 brake pads used at one DE event - when warm,
they're awesome, but be careful when they're cold.

Subject: [thedriversedge] Used DE Equipment for Sale

    Drivers Edge Group:

I very much enjoyed attending 6 driver educations events with TDE last
    year.
I will at some point return to the sport, but for now, my life is taking
    me
in a different direction. I am moving and would like to get rid of some
    of
the stuff I bought for DE's. I thought some of the folks involved with
    TDE
might be interested. The main thing are the 17x9 BBS CHs for my E46 BMW.

Anyone interested please email me. I have more pictures, and I am happy
    to
    answer questions anyone might have.

    Regards,
    Grant Zimmerman

With spacers, they'd work on the 540. With an ET of I'd say at least 45mm or so, they'll bolt up to an E36 with the possibly addition of front wheel spacers.

I'd ask what the offset is and then sell me the RKs. Actually as much as I'd love them, the cash just ain't there right now.

And yes, I really like those wheels, too. They look great on the BimmerHaus DSP E46.

          The wheels are ET38. I don't think that'll work on an E36.
